When building a website, of course a choice of a good server and domain is important, as this blog keeps emphasizing, however, design has no less significance when it comes to developing your website. As I already said once in my design tips tutorial, font plays an important role in the look, and overall feel of the website.

So, if you are after creating unique atmosphere in your website, Urban fonts would be a great solution, as it offers both free fonts and paid font (more unique, as they are not widely distributed) for download. I was impressed when I visited their website,as the variety of generously offered free fonts is truly impressive and exceptionally presented. Each font can be previewed before downloading, so you don’t need to download, install, load in Photoshop, just to see what you are getting.

Another thing that has impressed me at Urban fonts is the very web 2.0 design, simple, elegant, and most important, easy to navigate through, with popular search tags, menu of styles and very convenient presentation of each font. Although this is a sponsored review of their content, I would strongly recommend to see what this website has to offer, as they really offer an impressive, free online collection of font downloads. I already got a nice bunch of fonts from them and going to visit the site on a weekly basis to check for downloads. (yes, if they would have offered RSS feed would have been better… maybe they do but I searched the site and couldn’t find. Perhaps this is the only thing I can complain about.)
